Valentine's Day Design Contest

• Theme 1 - a 3D printable gadget
• Theme 2 - a 3D printable Valentines keepsake / gift.

The grand prize for the most voted/downloaded object is an all expenses paid trip for two at a five star spa including a night's accommodation, transport and dinner, at the value of £1,000*. 3D Artists Magazine will also be selecting a special prize winner, who will be featured and interviewed for their magazine. Awesome!

We are accepting entries from the 13th of January till the 27th of January. After this, entries will be posted on the website for a 2 week voting period. The design with the most downloads will be our grand prize winner!

All successful entrants will receive a 3D print of their design.

Alongside accepting STL files, we will also be accepting parametric designs created in OpenSCAD and we will be offering a special prize for the best design submitted in this file format (under either theme).

*Location of spa break is decided by the winners location and their preference.  

You can enter the design contest from anywhere in the world. Simply register with My Mini Factory and submit your entry through the upload system.

It should be uploaded within a ZIP file including:

•  Your object in STL or openscad format*;
•  A render measuring 378 pixels X 378 pixels in jpeg format;
•  A txt / doc file with a short description of your object.

*Please submit your design scaled to fit within a 120mm X 120mm X 120mm print space. If your piece is a larger construction, please design it to break down into parts/sections able to be printed within a 120mm X 120mm X 120mm area.

Once your design has been received it will be test printed on one of our 3D printers: if it successfully passes this print test, your design will be entered into the contest.

During the voting period every upload will have its own personal page to receive downloads from.
