I've always been fascinated by the space race. The sheer impossibility of the attempt, the race to invent technology that didn't even exist yet, and the universality of the moment when the landing succeeded. Watching Apple's For All Mankind reminded me of that sense of wonder, but it also reminded me that the space race wasn't entirely altruistic or heroic. It was a brutal competition between two countries desperate to win. Artemis 11 represents another version of that history, one where the space was a race not against other nations but toward the stars.
Artemis 11 is a simple model requiring minimal support and taking only about 2.5 hours to print. It includes four boosters, a cargo/fuel storage section, and a crew capsule with an airlock. You can set it on your desk, use it in a tabletop roleplaying game, or use it any other way you like.
Generate supports. The model does not include any overhangs but is tall enough that without supports it may wobble or even tip, ruining the build.
