I do my models on GNU/Linux machines. I run 100% free software. Currently my favorites modeling tools are Blender, OpenSCAD and FreeCAD. I mainly use a Thinkpad X200 computer, in which I have installed Libreboot (a free initialization program) and the Debian distro (taking care to exclude the non-free and the contrib repositories).
