This object was made in Tinkercad. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/bTOlK8le2V3
This 3D printed base and cap is use with a recycled Smartwater 700ml water bottle. (Essentia will work as well). All parts fit snugly and stay in place. I made a few round slots in the back for glow sticks to add ambiance on these long summer nights. It can be used as a lantern after you've released your bugs. There are air holes in the lid to allow your catch to breathe. Please do not keep the bugs too long so they can enjoy summer as well :)
In #TinkerCad you will find three (3) variations. They are color matched. One (orange) is a grooved lid, another (purple) is a shorter version to be used with 4" glow sticks and the other (green) is a taller version to be used with 6" glow sticks.
I made the example here on an Ender2 in two (2) seperate prints with the base standing upright and using supports. Supports are NOT needed for the cap. I also printed the file on a FLSuni3 3D printer with the base laying flat and NO supports. I have not mastered the bridging on my FLSun, so my bridging flopped at the very end.
