I used Simplify3D to print this with a resolution of .2 mm for the first 3 layers, then switched to .1 mm for the remainder of the print. I wanted the first few layers to adhere well to the bed and give a good base for the supports. This object requires support. I used Simplfy3D's default support structures without modification. After printing they peeled off relatively easily. Given the amount of support needed, the surface of the fins is rough in some areas. If a more finished look is desired, some sanding, primer and aluminum paint would really make this pop. Overall a faithful representation of the E3d V6 hot end. I included a "real" 1.75 mm E3D hot end I had for comparison.
