An excellent model! Printed without fuss. Can't wait to try your next model in my list! Printer: JGAurora A5S Filament: eSun PLA+ Paints: Krylon All-in-One Aluminum Metallic, Krylon All-in-One Dark Metal Metallic Select surfaces processed with Smooth On XTC Grips pattern: fake carbon fiber hydro-dip from Southern Hydrographics LED: A single 3mm 3V red led in the lower rail/trigger guard joint. "Diffusers" were created on left and right sides using large drops of hot glue subsequently trimmed to dome shape with a knife. The circuit is controlled with a SPDT DIP-style micro switch glued into the battery compartment Notes: 1. I ended up cutting up these parts into further additional pieces using MeshMixer to simplify printing as follows: "base2": cut into left, right, and bottom to minimize supports "handle": cut into left grip, right grip, and a 5mm middle spine so as simplify the hydro-dipping. Grips have been dipped and touched up with paint for weathering effect, whereas the spine has been painted solid 2. Upon printing the receiver part ("base2") I realized that the battery compartment is too wide for a CR2032 battery. I prevented it from rattling with a little wad of masking tape. In retrospect, I wish I designed and printed an insert that would hold it tight, and also provide securement for the leads to the switch and the LED. Better yet, perhaps the source model itself should be modified for that. 3. My printer uses 1.75mm filament and I don't have the 3mm one to use for joints, but I discovered that the shafts from Q-Tip brand cotton swabs fit in *perfectly*.
