Kendama (けん玉 ?, also written as 剣玉 and 拳玉) is a traditional Japanese toy consisting of a ken (sword) and tama (ball) connected by a string. The ken has three cups and a spike which fits into the hole in the ball. Basic kendama tricks consist of catching the ball in the cups and on the spike, however a huge variety of kendama tricks can be performed by juggling the ball between the cups, balancing it in various positions on the ken, balancing the ken on the ball and juggling the kendama.
As these have been such a big hit state side, I thought why not make one 3D printable? This model slots and sticks together to create your own Kendamas! Paint and decorate how you want and upload some pictures to show off your design!
I opted for the printing the complete model and clearing the support but if you want a support free design, simply use the cut up version. I printed this at 0.2mm layer height and 20% infill to give it a bit more weight to it. This took 491 minutes and 90 grams of filament
