Design Brief

The impact of 3D printing lies not only in the 3D printable models produced, but in the functional household items that will soon be as easily accessible and customizable as creating an e-card.

CraftUnique believes in the power of rapid prototyping, and the craft of 3D printing and wants to see what you can do to design and print incredible models that utilize the capability of Arduino!

In conjunction with Joe Casha, better known as 3D Maker Noob, who's been known to create the finest Arduino projects and 3D prints - they invite you along this journey to build electronics and start testing or even learning new valuable skills that will change the way you see 3D printing forever.

Themes

Joe Casha, aka 3D Maker Noob, believes 3D printing and electronics have always gone hand in hand, which is why he started designing lamps! A good way to start learning to design simple objects with simple electronics. He understands that projects don't have to be complicated to be satisfying, they just have to have a #purpose which ultimately satisfies you. As Joe says:

"This competition isn't about the most complex design, print or the most amount of electronics included in the project. It's all about integrating the two together, regardless of how small or simple the project may be. So get your hands dirty, design something, anything that will have an electronic component integrated into it - and showcase how 3D printing and electronics goes hand in hand."

Get inspired by your daily experience and design something that will improve your life, in any possible way. From videogames to life-saving devices, anything will do. Combine the power of electronics with 3D printing and submit your creation!

Prize

The winner will get a custom designed CraftBot Plus 3D printer!

CraftUnique and 3D Maker Noob himself will judge your designs and pick the best entry!

Submit your design before September 16th and share your designs or 3D prints using the hashtag #ArduinowithCraftbot by tagging @3Dmakernoob @craftbot3D and @myminifactory on social for your chance to win a brand new, completely customized Craftbot 3D printer!!
