Campus Rungs for Rock Climbing Training
Campus Rungs for Rock Climbing Training

For developing explosive power you can't go wrong with a bit of campus boarding. Wolfgang Gullich's gift to training is now available to print in your own home.
This pack contains 20,22,25 & 30mm rungs together with an insert that will allow you to lock the rungs together seamlessly. Each rung is 210mm long so you will need two with an insert to give a full length 420mm long rung. One edge of each rung is 10degrees incut, the other is flat (90degrees) to give a harder challenge. The rungs should be mounted 220mm apart on a 15degree overhanging wall for that authentic School Room feeling.
For training ideas and if you've wandered here with no idea what campus boarding is, have a look at the following link: http://cruxcrush.com/2014/09/15/how-to-train-on-the-campus-board/
Please don't blow your fingers out.
"Getting strong is easy. Getting strong without getting injured is hard." - Wolfgang Gullich
It is best to lightly sand down each part after printing to remove the shine and provide a little more grip.
These have been designed to take 5mm wood screws.
If you print in PLA please leave 72 hours between the end of printing and first use to allow the print to relax and attain its optimal strength.
Get in touch if you want any more sizes and I'll see what I can do.
As with previous holds, I would try printing the Campus Rungs with a layer height of 0.2mm, 4 perimeter shells and 40% rectilinear infill. Print the Campus Insert with a layer height of 0.2mm, 2 perimeter shells and 90% rectilinear infill. If you try with any other settings please let me know how it turns out.
