This is an object that has 2 parts that simply glue together and pop right onto a Christmas string light! Print a base and a star (see the bottom of the description to choose a size). Glue the smaller side of the base to the hole at the bottom of the star. Once dry, slide the larger side onto the light and you're done!
Print hollow(0% infill) with translucent filament and the star will glow! If you wanted star lights but could find them, this is a good solution to your problem. At night, this looks especially bright.
Sizes:
The files ending with "Base Big" are larger and fit the string light with a slightly larger diameter than usual(mm) such as some Christmas trees. The files ending with "Base Small" fit the smaller lights that are more commonly available. Use any size star you want, big or small. Depending on how bright your lights are you can choose. If you have incandescent lights that is dim, use the smaller size star but brighter lights such as big LEDs can use the big stars.
I've never been a fan of supports and avoid them like the plague. Because of this, I designed the stars to have 2 pieces that need to be glued together so that I can avoid using supports, and make more options possible.
Print with hollow infill and thin shell for the light to shine through. Use translucent - clear filaments
