Spool Holder

I designed this little piece to attach to some wooden shelves with generic construction screws, and to accept a 1/2" dowel or rod to support my growing collection of filament spools. The hole is a hexagon to allow support-free printing, keep the layer-height fairly low to help with this as well. Under 0.2 mm should be sufficient. At least two of these will need to be printed, one for each side of the dowel.
It will fit a rod of up-to 9/16" snugly, but a 1/2" rod will comfortably rotate inside the holder.
Mounting holes on the back are 1.25" apart, a standard drywall screw or cabinet screw should be able to fit into the holes and cut threads into the plastic. Screws can to go up to 24mm (nearly an inch) into the plastic before popping out the other side.
I recommend using 1.2 mm perimeters, so that the screw holes are sturdy enough. Some infill is reccomended as well, I used 20%. The samples in the photos were printed in PETG.
Design is scaled in mm, despite many of my measurements being inches.
