GOTHIC TEA LIGHT LANTERN 1
**ONLY FOR USE WITH BATTERY OPERATED TEA LIGHTS. USE FLAME TEALIGHTS AT YOUR OWN RISK.**
If you make one post a pic. I'd love to see how others are painting/decorating them.
A gothic architecture inspired design. Not 100% gothic but still fun to make. Pardon the bad base coat which hid many details.
Designed to fit 36mm diameter battery operated tea lights but you could simply scale for any size you want.
Suitable for resin and fdm. Print in place only 1 part. Resin printing gives the best results but very nice results can be achieved with fdm if scaled up a bit.
100% scale results in 89mm tall x 63mm wide x 63mm long print. Check to make sure the files downloaded are scaled properly before printing.
Scale to at least 115% for fdm to bring out the details a bit more. For fdm, only mild supports are needed at the bottom of windows (see pics). Rest of the model does not need support and should print fine. The larger you scale it the more supports you may need of course.
Resin requires same supports under window area and above (See pics).
Three different models are included each with varying amounts of window ornamentation. See pictures for details.
Also included is a template for creating pictures that are inserted shine through the open windows lit by the tea light behind (see pics). Customize how you want.
You can print pictures on regular paper, transparent paper, or simply use colored cellophane or thin colored paper. Use the template as a guide for optimal image placement and alignment.
By purchasing and downloading these 3d models and templates you agree to not hold Furio Prints, Joseph Covington, or myminifactory.com liable for any damages resulting from the printing or use of the 3d models.

Thank for checking out my listing :)
For fdm use brim, mild supports under window tips (see pic) and scale to at least 150% to bring out the best detail. Smaller scaling can be achieved with smaller nozzle diamter (0.2-0.3mm) but time increases significantly. Try using a mini profile such as Fat Dragon and print SLOW.
For resin supports under windows and "island" above window ornamentation. I printed directly on build plate but was a bit tough to remove.
